My photographer friend Sue from www.suejonesphotography.net and I have been to Venice in February for the last 2 years to visit the carnival and take photos of the "masques" (people dressed up in costumes and wearing masques). It is a fantastic event and well worth going but we also make a boat trip to the nearby Burano and Murano islands. This image is of the central canal in Burano. The houses are all painted bright colours and it is wonderful to walk around and explore. Even though it was February the sky was clear blue and without a cloud in it. Perfect for a picture.
