Meet my Chaffinch, Well, I call him mine but he wouldn't say that, he is his own bird! This image was taken in woodland. The sun was on him and I was lucky that just as he took flight the sun cast a shadow of his left wing on his right one.

The Chaffinch and the autumnal leaves make a lovely colour palette of golds, browns and orange. Perfect to sit and puzzle away in the winter evenings.
